Compressor is a free online tool that helps you reduce file sizes for images, videos, audio files, and code — all without uploading anything to a server.

Why Privacy Matters

Unlike most online tools, Compressor processes every file directly in your browser using modern web APIs. Nothing is ever sent to a server, stored, or transmitted. Your files stay on your device at all times.

How It Works

• Images — Uses the Canvas API to compress and convert between formats (PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF)
• Videos — Uses the browser's built-in MediaRecorder API to compress MP4 and WebM files
• Audio — Uses MediaRecorder to re-encode MP3, WAV, and OGG files at lower bitrates
• Code — Uses Terser (for JavaScript) and custom minifiers for CSS, HTML, JSON, and 15+ languages

Compressor is built with vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no frameworks, no dependencies. It loads fast, works offline, and runs on any modern browser.
